A new guide for improving water control in the city state of Singapore was announced in July 2009.

ABC Waters Programme – Active Beautiful Clean Waters – aims to enhance use of reservoirs, public and private, and improve drainage and water filtration systems.

This will cut dirt in waters, and improve surge control in tropical monsoon or heavy rainfall.

Goodwood Residence and Sophia Residence projects will have active water recycling and have won Building & Construction Authority Green Mark Platinum Award – the best there is in Singapore.

There are now over 10 private developments with water recycling.

The ABC Waters programme, first launched in 2006, will improve Singapore’s 15 reservoirs, 32 rivers and 7000 km of waterways into enjoyable public recreation spaces.
