RECYCLED BUILDING MATERIALS

Building Materials navigation

Using recycled construction materials can dramatically lower the environmental impact of new buildings. While some materials may not be suitable for the same use (i.e. recycled concrete) they can be put to use in other areas of construction.

Because the material has already been produced it often requires very little energy to use again, when compared to producing brand new material. Recycling saves materials and a huge amount of energy producing the material again, especially in the case of metals. See our metal and steel building pages for more advice on this topic.

We have removed content from this page so please use the navigation above to find your recycled concrete, recycled rubber, plastic, wood, and other recycled materials information and advice.

With the rise of green and sustainable building as the norm all over the world, recycling is more and more important. We hope these pages give you some ideas for your home improvement or do it yourself project.
