Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA)
Australia is a great place for green buildings as it is so sunny! Water saving is also important, a lot of the country even round the coast is arid. I am thinking of Melbourne in particular.
Sydney, Perth, Brisbane all have gone green. There is a famous building in Melbourne called Council House 1 - which has active and passive ventilation instead of air conditioning.
The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) has developed a green building standard known as Green Star, a voluntary environmental rating system for buildings launched in 2003.
